ECHOES of the past are reverberating around Castle Drogo this week with the performance of a play created by teenagers. ?The Children?s Castle? was put together by the young people with the support of staff at the castle, Dartmoor National Park and MED Theatre. The theatre?s Wild Nights Young Company will perform the play today, Thursday, at 2pm, having given the first performance yesterday. The play looks back to the optimistic days of building the castle and the changes brought about by World War II. The performance is free, but the normal castle admission charges apply. Audience members will be met at the entrance to the castle and invited to walk with costumed characters through the grounds, experiencing different historical scenes as they pass.
