TWINKLING fairy lights and garlands will festoon the 14ft Christmas tree and ten colour-themed trees at Castle Drogo this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, December 5 and 6, the castle will be open for visitors to see part of the building by night. The house will be decorated for Christmas and the café and shop will be open. As well as the many gifts, there will be the chance to buy Christmas trees.
Winter admission prices apply for non-members.
During the day on the Sunday, from 11am to 4pm, there is a Festive Food Fair in the new visitor centre with a chance to sample and buy a wide variety of food and drink from local growers and producers.
