TWO cyclists from Tavistock are down to the final five in a competition to find 'Britain's Manliest Cyclist'.
Gary Clements and Josh Bullock, from popular cycling team the Tavistock Wheelers, will now go head-to-head with three other cyclists in a public vote.
The competition has been organised by leading men's grooming range the Bluebeards Revenge, who market themselves as the 'world's manliest shaving brand'. Gary and Josh, were picked not only on their cycling achievements, but also on what made them 'Real Men'.
Josh Bullock said: 'Train Hard, Shave Easy is the philosophy I live by. After a hard cycle around Dartmoor I like to relax by eating, sleeping and shaving with the Bluebeards Revenge, in no particular order.'
Tavistock Wheelers is a road cycling club formed more than 20 years ago. A small and friendly club, its rides take place in some of the most idyllic lanes in the country.
While members do compete in a whole range of cycling events — sportives, races, time trails — the emphasise is on enjoyment as well as improving fitness and performance.
Gary, Josh and the three others shortlisted will now go forward to a public vote.
