THE fantastic total of £670 was raised for two cancer charities at a coffee morning held in Okehampton last weekend. Around 300 people attended the fundraising event held in the Charter Hall on Saturday, February 18. The money will be divided between two different support groups working in the Mid Devon area, FORCE and Hospiscare. The event was organised by two Okehampton couples, Roger and Julie Porter and Bert and Ann Crocker, both of whom have first hand experience of the vital support that each organisation can offer to cancer patients and their partners.
