CHILDREN at Whitchurch Preschool have been busy woodworking, thanks to help and advice from local craftsman Phil Credicott, who shared his skills in making cars and boats.
The children chose their wood and designs, hammered in nails to attach wheels and seats and painted their finished models.
Fathers also helped by supplying and cutting the wood for the children.
As well as learning about working with wood, the children were able to develop hand-eye co-ordination, practise using one-handed tools when hammering and learn how to use tools safely.
They were delighted to take their finished work home.
