PIRATES will be the theme for a fun event in Hatherleigh this Saturday (August 19) to raise funds for the town carnival. Last year, the Island Park Party was held to benefit the carnival and was such a success it is taking place again, this time with a pirate theme. Getting underway at 6pm, there will be a human fruit machine, pirate treasure hunt, walk the plank and ?pin the parrot on the pirate? plus live music from Riff Reign and a fancy dress competition.
