MAY I remind readers that the 'Cards for Good Causes' multi-charity Christmas Card Shop is underway again this year until Friday December 17 (Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm) at the United Reformed Church, Russell Street, Tavistock.
Cards for Good causes sells charity Christmas cards on behalf of UK charities, both national and local. The aim is simple, to offer the widest possible choice of charity cards and to present the charities with as much money as possible from the sale of their cards.
In previous years the Tavistock shop alone has contributed around £26k per year to the various charities, at times breaking the national record for a town of our size.
This was due to the efforts of over 200 volunteers. This year, further volunteers to cover gaps in the rota would be welcome. If you can help, please contact me at 01822 616560. Otherwise, please come along to buy your Christmas cards at our shop at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street. Look out for the red triangular Santa sign!
