FIREFIGHTERS were called after reports of a car on fire in a layby on the A30 from Stowford Cross to Sourton last Tuesday (March 26).

The car was well alight when the crews from Okehampton and Launceston arrived. They extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.

Crews confirmed the fire was accidental.
