FIREFIGHTERS from Tavistock attended a car fire at the new roundabout at Anderton on September 15. The driver of the car drove across the roundabout and struck a kerb, before the vehicle caught fire just after midnight. One crew attended the scene and used a hosereel to tackle the blaze. The driver disappeared from the incident but was later found by police and arrested.
