WHAT a difference a week makes! After last week?s terrible performance, this was a Callington side re-born as they inflicted a second defeat for early pace setters Truro City at Ginsters Marshfield Parc.

The visitors did start well, and for the first 20 minutes dominated as Callington found it difficult to get into the game, but gradually the home side began to come back with Glynn Hobbs and Adam Coumbestock both going close.

They continued to create chances in the second period with Hobbs in particular making life very difficult for the visiting defence and it was no surprise when Town took the lead on 59 minutes.

Hobbs was creator with a battling run on the right before crossing for David Woodfield to head powerfully past Andy Butcher to score.

Truro tried to hit back with Steven Hawke going close. . It was the home side who had the last word in the third minute of injury time.

Pete Floyd ran down a back pass to the keeper. Butcher?s clearance to a defender was always going to be a problem with Hobbs closing in.

The striker stole the ball before firing past the stranded Butcher to the obvious delight of the crowd.
