LAMERTON began their penultimate home game in confident fashion. They took the lead when Steve Wickett slotted home.

Sloppy defending enabled Fredericks to equalise for the visitors before Wickett restored the lead, converting a penalty.

Scores were levelled before half-time when Phil Screech outpaced the home defence.

St Stephens began the second half stronger and Screech put them in front with the second penalty.

The home side had more of the possession and it was well deserved when Sean Cann equalised with a left foot shot.

The final five minutes was all Lamerton with Matt Wills firing over the bar and the Borough keeper denying Wickett his hat-trick.

The final two league games are against a Tideford side going for the championship, this Saturday at home and away on May 11.
