The Gundog Club is launching a new Gundog training course near Crediton in mid Devon. A grade one course for beginners will start in August of this year. Similar courses also take place at more than 20 other sites across the UK, and each culminates in one of The Gundog Club's tests. Grade one courses are an introduction to gundog training for beginners. The Gundog Club aims to introduce more gundog owners to this rewarding sport, helping people channel their pet's natural desires and talents into a useful and exciting activity. Taught only by Gundog Club accredited assessors, each course is accepting a maximum of six students for eight weekly, one hour, sessions. Over the eight weeks, students will train their dogs in basic obedience and simple retrieving, in preparation for the appropriate test, which will take place in the final week.
