ANDREW'S Corner garden in Belstone will be open in aid of the National Gardens Scheme tonight (Thursday). In a wonderful Dartmoor setting, lit by more than 200 candle lanterns, the garden turns into a fairyland where visitors can wander, glass of wine in hand, among magnificent trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, organic vegetables and willow structures. The garden also contains a pond, bog garden and traditional breed chickens – plenty on offer for all the family.   The NGS was founded in 1927 and has raised more than £40 million for nursing, caring and gardening charities. Entry to Andrew's Corner garden is £4, children free. The entrance fee includes a glass of wine and cheese. The garden will be open between 7pm and 10pm. A similar event will be held on August 7.
