PATIENTS from West Devon and clinicians are set to benefit thanks to a hi-tech donation from the Plymouth and Cornwall Cancer Fund.
The charity, which supports people who have cancer, has raised £32,000 to enable the Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust to set up a second multi-disciplinary team video conferencing room, at Derriford Hospital.
It enables clinicians to link-up and discuss patient's treatment requirements.
The equipment also allows the presentation of both imaging and pathology at the same time at the different meetings.
Chris Oppong, consultant surgeon, thanked PCCF chairman Professor John Parsons and his members for the donation.
