AGE CONCERN has £1,000 to spend on transport fares for the elderly and disabled in Okehampton and is appealing for any service operators to come forward if they would like to be involved.
The Okehampton branch received an ?Awards for All? grant recently to subsidise transport for people needing to go to the shops, the doctors, hospital appointments and so on.
Branch manager Barrie Duke now needs local disability and elderly transport services run by community transport initiatives and local taxi operators and bus services to come forward so passengers can benefit.
Mr Duke can be contacted on 01837 53409 and the money will be handed out on a first come, first served basis.
