ONCE again Tavistock has held the annual Remembrance Day service for those who gave their lives for us through war.
There was a good attendance both by the different organisations who paraded, also the general public, but where was our Stannary Brass band?
We have a parade marshall, who assembles the parade in Russell Street and then on to the Guildhall car park in readiness for the
service. He carries out his duty admirably and I am sure he is proud to do so, but I suspect that he would also like to have the band to lead the parade.
If the band can play at Bere Alston why not play in Tavistock? After all, we are a Stannary town so please can we have our Stannary Brass to play for us next year?
