THE sale of former MOD houses in Horrabridge is expected to lead to people camping out to snap up a bargain. Previous sales of similar houses have led to prospective buyers camping out several days ahead of the sale, and the first person in the queue at Horrabridge arrived in a camper van seven days before the sale date of March 7. This date will see the first sales phase at Annington Ridge, with a selection of three bedroom houses being put for sale on a first come, first served basis. A guide price of £163,950 has been announced and the Annington company is providing financial assistance to buyers through homebuyer incentives such as stamp duty paid and money towards legal fees. At the previous sale in Horrabridge in 2005 the majority of homes were snapped up within weeks of going on sale. Lynda Henderson, Annington's regional sales manager, said they did not encourage people to camp, but some people were determined not to miss out.
