North Devon four
Victoria Park v Belstone
ANOTHER Sunday, another outstanding bowling display, and another easy 10-wicket win for Belstone as their grip tightened on the top spot in North Devon four.
This time the victims were Victoria Park, all out for 73 in 29 overs.
The star performer with the ball was off-spinner Callum Mallett who held three catches and took the last four wickets to fall for 12 runs in eight overs, but he was well backed up by the other three Belstone bowlers Tom Fogerty, Ryan Dennis and Scott Tremain, who each bagged a couple of wickets, while keeper Simon Tremain chipped in with two catches and a stumping.
Victoria Park only threatened a revival during a fourth wicket stand of 25 between Michael Harris (12) and Anthony Schiller (18).
Belstone openers Phil Woods (49 not out) and Scott Tremain (21 not out) put the match to bed in 39 minutes and 65 balls, Woods emphatically finishing proceedings with four sixes.
