Callington 5 Plymouth OPOs 12 AFTER a string of poor weekends weather wise Callington were to play hosts to a Plymouth side in a friendly that would see good conditions, albeit a blustery wind that is often felt blowing across the Duchy College pitch. Both sides contested well throughout the game, but it was Callington who opened the score line. With the pack working hard in the scrums, rucks and mauls it saw the ball passed wide to the backs, who ran a series of moves before Derek Ingleson finished with the try on the right wing. Callington held the 5-0 lead through the rest of the half until the OPOs scored their own try minutes from half time, which also went unconverted. In the second half Callington tried on several occasions to score another try, even having attempts at penalty kicks. But the score line remained level pegging at 5-5 before the OPOs scored again with barely a minute left to play.
