THE ladies track sessions continue to thrive on a Saturday morning at Tavistock College with more than 60 members.
The athletes are all ages, sizes and abilities with our oldest member being a tender 69 and running like a lady much younger than her years.
This Saturday will see the group having their first away run at Burrator (the track is closed this Saturday to make way for the Devon Games to Inspire) and the following weekend will see a number of the ladies taking part in their first ever race, the Tavistock Ladies Race which starts at Kilworthy Park at 10am.
The session coach, Dotty Allan, will be running with the ladies to set the pace (the race also includes a fun run).
New members are welcome at any time, the sessions start at 9.30am and are open to all abilities, the cost is £2 per session with all monies going to the track maintenance fund, all you need is a good pair of trainers, a running bra and a non-carbonated drink.
