THE baking skills of Tavistock College student Paige Honey were recently put to the test, with a little help from her father, to raise funds for Plym Children and Young People's Theatre Unit at Derriford Hospital.
Having received treatment at the unit, Paige wanted to say thank you to staff and organised a cake stall at school, raising more than £100 for the unit.
The Plym team was very happy to see Paige again and accept the donation on behalf of the unit.
Sophie King, operating department practictioner, said: 'This is a fantastic effort by Paige and we are very grateful to receive the donation, which will be put to good use for the benefit of future patients.'
