FOX Tor Café in Princetown is taking part in the annual World's Biggest Coffee Morning event for Macmillan Cancer Support for the second year running, after raising £1,200 for the charity last year.

The event tomorrow (Friday),will help to raise vital funds for local people affected by cancer.

The owners of the Café Bunkhouse, Dave and Abbi Openshaw, are aiming to raise £2,000 this year and will be running the event all day from 10am to 5pm.

Every penny they make from coffee, cake and real ale sales on the day will go to Macmillan, and the staff are also working the entire day for free.

In addition to this, Dave and Abbi have organised a raffle with donated prizes, including a three-night break in a Cornish holiday cottage with a pool and a hot tub, a day fishing on Dartmoor, a day gorge walking or caving and a manicure and pedicure.

Dave said: 'We have a lot of friends and family who are affected by cancer and we know how hard it can be. The benefit of having someone there who knows what they are talking about and has endless time to help makes such a difference and that's why we support Macmillan.'

Sian Harris, local fundraising manager for Macmillan said: 'Fox Tor Café raised a great amount for us last year, so it's fantastic to have them holding another coffee morning for us this year.'
