TAVISTOCK'S monthly live music charity event, the Acoustic Café, will this month be entertaining audiences with an eclectic range of contemporary folk, blues and jazz.

The Acoustic Café will play host to a variety of talented local musicians, this month raising funds for South Devon China Bear Rescue.

The charity, affiliated with the Animals Asia Foundation, rescues and rehabilitates cruelly treated bears that are farmed daily for their bile, and kept in horrendous conditions.

A selection of home-cooked food will be on offer at the event and diners are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to accompany their meal.

The Acoustic Café will take place on Saturday January 29 at the Parish Church Centre at 7.30pm.

Admission is £5 and £3 for children.
