PIMM?S, strawberries and scones helped West Devon Citizens? Advice Bureau celebrate the launch of its first annual report last week. After a year of hard work the event was an excellent way for volunteers and staff to thank those who had supported them over the past year. The event, held in the grounds of the Ockment Centre, Okehampton, entertained guests, including mayors representing Okehampton, Tavistock and West Devon. Manager of the charity Barbara Osborne said the past year had been ?particularly challenging? but they were very proud of their ?quality service?. Anita Prosser, chairman of the trustee board, greeted all who attended and expressed thanks to everyone who had supported them over the year. Attendance at the event was excellent and organiser of the afternoon, Mandy Kenyon, was delighted that so many people turned up, saying it proved the people of West Devon appreciated the efforts of the volunteers.
