FIRE crews in Tavistock have attended a number of fires and two accidents over the past week.
A car was abandoned and set alight at Huckworthy Common at Sampford Spiney on February 27.
The same day, firefighters were called to a blaze involving an excavator on the Hayedown Industrial Estate at Brentor.
A road traffic collision at Merrivale on February 26 and an overturned gritter lorry at Horrabridge on February 28
required the services of the Tavistock fire crews but nobody was injured in the accidents.
The firefighters attended a gorse fire at Sticklepath on Tuesday and were on standby at a thatched cottage fire near Okehampton the same day.
