A CRAFT and table top sale to raise funds for the Recreation Field Playground fund in Bere Ferrers and the Bere Alston Surgery was held in November for the playground fund. At the social club in Bere Ferrers there was fun for all the family with children keeping busy sticking and glueing in a true Blue Peter style. There were also amusing games, including tombola, a lucky dip and raffle, and Father Christmas visited. At the coffee morning held in the parish hall in December the Friends of Bere Alston Surgery raised £1,200. The money will be spent on additional equipment for the surgery. Thanks were expressed to all who supported the event.
