TAVISTOCK AFC's first team are once again being sponsored by Tavistock Tyres.

Tim Schmid, the branch manager of the tyre company, has been a strong supporter of Langsford Park club and the club committee is thrilled to continue their relationship with their main sponsor.

Tavistock Tyres will also be seen on the shirts of Tavistock Youth Cafe Plus United, as a gesture of the company's ongoing support to local children with special needs.

DAC Coaches will be sponsoring the Lamb's Reserves while the Market Inn will be sponsoring the shirts for the U18's team and Rob Strawbridge of RDL Auto Supplies has donated all weather jackets for the U18s' squad.

Allen Lewis, the Lambs' commercial manager said: 'Both managers, Ian Southcott and Karl Gatcum, are extremely grateful for this 'rush' of support from new sponsors it gives them a really positive start to 2009-2010 Season.'

Tavistock AFC Ladies' team will be sponsored, for a second season, by Tyremarks. The ladies, managed by Mark Wickett, will be playing their home games on Sunday afternoons — and urge the town's supporters to come along and cheer them on.

So with all the improvements to Langsford Park the supporters of Tavistock AFC have a lot to look forward to this season.

Mr Lewis added: 'A big thank you again to the attitude and support of all the businesses who are being so supportive.'
