Heeding the Government’s advice, Tavistock’s vehicle maintenance and repair garage TyreMarks has made exceptional efforts to remain open and available to serve vital workers during these difficult times.

Staff are making sure doctors, nurses, police officers, fire crews, NHS staff, carers and all other key workers are able to keep their vehicles on the road when their work is so important to the local community.

TyreMarks of Westbridge Industrial Estate has made special arrangements for customers so no contact is required at all and the safety of social distancing can be fully adhered to.

It is recommending that anyone who requires its assistance to if possible either telephone or e-mail in the first instance, to make arrangements for the work to be completed without needing any physical contact. This can even be done from the company forecourt if desired. Collection and delivery is even available in the local area.

Speaking on behalf of TyreMarks, Farrah Tillyer commented: ’Our primary role is to ensure that all key workers can maintain their position in society by ensuring they can travel to and from work safely.

’In the Tavistock area we have many key workers who must use their vehicles daily and we will prioritise their needs.

’Whilst we are happy to service other customers, we must stress that priority will be given to anyone who falls under the Government category as a key worker. The seriousness of this current situation is our upmost concern, hence the steps we have put in place to protect everyone.

’We have taken advice from the Government and other leading professionals in this field— the safety of our staff and customers is essential to us.’
