A WELL-known newsagents in Tavistock has been forced to cease trading for the foreseeable future.
Pillars, on West Street, shocked local residents this week when a surprise notice was placed on the door to the premises stating that it was in ’dispute with the Inland Revenue’.
Susan Franks from Pillars said in the notice that an Inland Revenue ’representative attended our premises on Thursday on the pretext of carrying out an inventory. At this visit we were ordered to cease trading immediately, including stopping all home deliveries’.
Susan added: ’We sincerely apologise for this decision which we will appeal.’
