MORE than 30 new businesses have successfully started trading in West Devon in recent months, with the help of the thriving local enterprise agency West Devon Business Information Point (WDBIP).
The organisation has been assisting businesses in the area for more than 10 years ? one example is Northlew firm Idea Audio Ltd.
Ian Dixon, the owner of Idea Audio Ltd, said: ?It was the advice and support offered by business advisor Brian Watson that gave us the confidence to set up and go ? and within five months we were really taking off.?
To help other budding entrepreneurs take the first step into business, West Devon BIP are now holding ?drop in sessions? every Wednesday morning between 9.30am and 12.30pm at their offices in Bridge House, in the centre of Okehampton.
The same service will be available in the Tavistock offices of West Devon Borough Council at Kilworthy Park every Thursday from 10am-12pm. Brian will be available to talk over ideas and give advice on what to do next.
West Devon BIP provides this service, which is absolutely free, in partnership with Business Link Devon and Cornwall.
Anyone who can?t get to Okehampton or would like an appointment at another time can telephone 0800 592 872 to arrange a meeting.
