A SUBSTANTIAL cheque was last week presented to St Luke's Hospice, following a fundraising event held at the Prince of Wales pub in Princetown on October 11.

The cheque for £1,284.69 was presented to community fundraiser Wayne Marshall by Vicky Steele.

The event was staged in memory of Liz Steele, Vicky's mum, who died in 2012.
