YOU kindly published a letter in your newspaper on February 20. The letter was an appeal for any information concerning my father Illia Capricnik.

I am delighted to say that my brother Michael responded to the letter and we are now in contact.

It is wonderful to have found my brother and we will be meeting soon. Michael was able to correct the spelling of my father's surname which is Kapriciuk.

Michael also told me that in Lydford he was friends with Peter Klim, a Polish tailor.

When in Lydford my father worked as a chef at the Manor Hotel. He then moved to Plymouth in 1955 when he was 37 to work as a mechanic.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for publishing the letter which has led to me finding my brother. We have had several conversations over the phone and we are both delighted to have found one another.
