A BROKEN leg has not deterred the landlord of the Burrator Inn from taking part in a nationwide charity fun run this Sunday with his family. Phil, who broke his leg three weeks ago, his wife Sara and children Shelley and Dan, will join hundreds of other participants for the Sport Relief Mile around Plymouth Hoe on Sunday, March 16. Phil, 50, decided to run the mile with his family before he broke his leg — but is still determined to complete the race despite still being on crutches. Bar manager Dan, 22, said: 'It's a perfect opportunity to do something for charity. My dad will walk the mile and my mum will walk with him. My sister will run the mile and I will run six miles as one mile isn't really a challenge for me, and it is for charity and a good way to raise money.' The family also plan to host a 12-hour darts marathon tonight (Thursday) for anyone who fancies having a go and helping raise money for a very good cause.
