LAST weekend seven cadets from Tavistock joined Bravo Company, Plymouth in ‘Exercise Rolling Thunder’ at Scraesdon Fort near Anthony in South East Cornwall.

The weekend consisted of a number of exercises including room clearance training, orienteering, paintball, field-skills and a large scale attack.

A number of Tavistock Cadets took home gold and silver medals for their efforts, seeing off competition from cadets from Ivybridge, Mutley, Crownhill, Plymouth and Plymstock.

The Army Cadet Force – Tavistock Detachment provides outdoor education and an insight into the British Army. It meets on Mondays and Wednesdays.
