A SECOND animal blessing service will be held this Sunday, October 4, at St Paul's Church in Gulworthy, following the celebration of Harvest last weekend.

Last year the service was a moving and memorable event with three horses, 18 dogs, several chickens, rabbits, cats and even a ferret or two.

Once again children are invited to bring along their pets of all kinds, provided they have an adult with them.

The service will start at 11.15am, appropriately on St Francis of Assisi Day, who was the patron saint of animals and the environment.
