A FAMILY feast of fantastic music is being lined up to dazzle Okehampton at the start of May. The Easter Concert, a popular event in the musical calendar of Okehampton College, is fast approaching. Thursday, May 1, will see the Octagon Theatre play host to a vast array of musical talent the college has on offer. All the years from the school will be represented with the Big Band, senior and junior choirs, the Little Big Band performing alongside many other soloists and ensembles. As part of the show they will be performing a selection of famous music from TV and film. Members of the audience will have the chance to test their knowledge and guess which film or TV programme the music is from. Val Berry, music teacher at the college, is full of enthusiasm for the concert: 'it will be a brilliant evening. We've got all the ensembles involved and some great music lined up so it promises to be a good night.' Tickets for the event cost £5 for adults, £3 for concessions or £12 for a family ticket of two adults and two concessions. The concert starts at 7.30pm and refreshments will be available.
