Plymstock U11s 45 Tavistock U11s 21 PLYMSTOCK dominated possession with their well drilled forwards taking full advantage of won ball from scrummages and loose play. Plymstock scored with an unconverted try which enabled Tavistock to take the lead briefly with a try and conversion by Henry Kisby. Plymstock took control and delivered a further two tries before half time. The second half saw Plymstock across the line on a further three occasions before Tavistock gained composure with a try from Henry Salmon quickly followed by a touchdown from Will Coulton from a ball passed by Frazer Bayliss. Tavistock U10s 10 Plymstock U10s 20 TAVISTOCK enjoyed good continuity from the start, Max Phillips falling on a loose ball, which was recycled finishing off with an excellent score by Callum Ross. The game see-sawed with Plymstock putting on pressure and going 2 scores to 1 up, despite good all round work from a number of players, particularly Charlie Woods. A great take in the lineout by Alex Boswell saw him dive over and bring the scores level at 2-2. Tavistock were still celebrating at the restart and they let in an easy try just before the whistle. The second half was a hard fought affair with great breaks and sound tackling. Plymstock managed a fourth score. Plymstock U12s 14 Tavistock U12s 1 PETER Meachin was made captain for the day as this was his last match for Tavistock before moving away. His dominant forward presence will be sorely missed. The early encounters saw Plymstock on top. It was only some good tackling that kept the Tavistock line intact. Sustained Plymstock pressure saw two tries being scored in the first half. There were some good moments from Tavistock and Monty Burdfield was cruelly penalised for jumping through the tackle, when in full flow with the try line at his mercy. Some reorganization saw a different Tavistock in the second half. Richard Coker dispossessed his opposite number and ran a full 60 yards for a sensational try, which was converted. Edward Longden played with great fighting spirit and Harry Birt was also prominent. But it was a rejuvenated pack which came up trumps with Alistair Dawe crashing over to score his second try of the season late in the second half. Tavistock U13s 10 Kingsbridge 27 TAVISTOCK started well with some strong running from Tom Simmons and quick work from Daniel Oner. The home side soon found themselves with a five metre tap and go penalty and once taken by prop Joe Hair the first try was never in doubt. Tavistock players managed to keep the Kings largest player to only one in the first half. After the change round the Tavistock fly half Jack Morgan put on the pressure with some clever kicking. It was a combined effort from Callum Thompson and scorer James Lockley that put the home side ahead once again. That lead was short lived as the Kingsbridge unstoppable number eight ran in a further three for himself and provided the run for a fourth before the match was concluded. This week Tavistock play host to Collumpton.
