TAVISTOCK Rubber Bridge Club members looked back on a successful year at their recent annual meeting held in the Alexander Centre.
It was agreed to maintain the yearly membership subscription at £35.
Members also expressed satisfaction that their and others' opposition to the proposal to limit and charge for parking at the centre had resulted in the proposal being withdrawn, as the ability to park when coming to the centre was an important facility for many users.
The committee was re-elected but following the sad death of Les Handford, Ian Hardy has agreed to become treasurer.
Any bridge players who would be interested in joining the club, which meets on Monday afternoons at the centre, can call chairman Norma Woodcock on 613597 or vice-chairman David Isaac on 614244) for more information.
