THEY'RE back — John Mayall and Peter Green, true legends of the British blues scene, are sharing the stage again for the first time in 30 years.

Mayall and Green first played together in the 60s. Now, three decades later, they are out on a major UK tour which includes a gig at the Plymouth Pavilions on Friday, May 26 — and which culminates at the Royal Albert Hall in June.

Mayall has been aptly named the Godfather of blues and is arguably the most influential English blues man ever.

In 1963 he formed the Bluesbrakers — a name that has become synonymous with the very best of melodic, driven blues.

His current long-time band includes Buddy Whittington on guitar, John Paulus on bass and Joe Yuele on drums.

Pete Green still regularly makes it into the Top 10 guitarists pols all over the world. A founder member of Fleetwood Mac and writer of such classics as 'Albatross' and 'Black Magic Woman' he has been hailed as one of the truly great innovative guitarists of our time.

Both artists have current albums out showcasing their dynamic musical styles. Mayall's sensational latest 'Padlock on the Blues' is a crackling good listen with the inimitable bluesman joined by guests John Lee Hooker, Ernie Watts and Coco Montoya.

Peter Green also has a string of impressive guests on his 'Hotfoot Powder' album such as Buddy Guy, Otis Rush and Honey Boy Edwards.

Both CDs feature some blistering tracks and make you even more keen to hear the boys live at the Pavilions.
