Okehampton Argyle U12s 2 Combe Martin U12s 0 ARGYLE started well with strikers Bradley Ausden and Jacob Ayris taking shots at the Coombe Martin goal within minutes of the start of the game. Play remained for the most part in the Combe Martin half. Argyle?s defence, who continue to play excellently, kept the few Coombe Martin chances from becoming real threats. Just after half time Argyle were awarded a penalty kick, which was saved, as was a free kick that was awarded to Argyle following a bad tackle on Jack Stanbury. Then against the run of play Combe Martin made a dangerous attack, and looked like scoring, but the shot was saved by Argyle?s keeper Will Ingram. Argyle continued to ratchet up the but the Combe Martin goalkeeper kept making excellent saves. Just when it seemed that it was impossible to get anything past the goalkeeper, Will Searle made a shot that bobbled in front of the Combe Martin goalkeeper and Argyle were rewarded with a goal. Geed up by this success, Bradley shortly made a fantastic run down the pitch, just before the final whistle, scoring a second goal for Argyle within half a minute of the last one.
