TAVISTOCK Sir Francis Drake Bowling Club?s season drew to a close with their annual dinner and presentation of awards ceremony, which took place at Launceston Golf Club on Friday. Mike Allen picked up the men?s individual championship trophy with Mike Silcox runner-up. Marion Allen collected the ladies? individual championship award with Shirley Blackburn runner-up. The ladies two-wood competition was won by Sue Silcox and Freda Isaac was runner-up. The ladies? handicap trophy went to Marion Allen with Val Southern runner-up. The men?s two-wood competition was won by Barry Chappell with Ralph Cook runner-up and the Kerswill Trophy by George Blackburn with Harvey Leach, runner-up. The men?s pairs competition was won by Brian Lamb and Mike Allen with Mike Felles and Clive Jago runners-up. The mixed pairs? competition was won by Marion Allen and Vic Stacey, with Hazel Lovell and Mike Allen the runners-up. The triples trophy went to Gordon Northey, Betty Browse and Vic Stacey with Diana Smirles, Mike Felles and Malcolm Bloomer runners-up. The Brian Parker trophy went to by Barry Chappell, with Marion Allen the runner-up.
