THE annual short mat bowling tournament was held on Saturday October 9.
Taking part were teams from Bere Alston, Bow, Ivybridge, Kensey Vale, Phoenix, Callington, Saltash Wesley Church, Tavistock and Tothill.
There was some excellent bowling by all teams, Tavistock coming through to win the trophy after winning all seven of their games. The runners-up were the team from Tothill.
Tavistock are now looking forward to the first round of the Devon County competitions, the team tens, to be played at home against Kingston on November 19; singles, pairs and fours to be played against Modbury and Ivybridge.
Tavistock SMBC would like to thank all the local businesses who supported the tournament by donating draw prizes.
