YELVERTON Bowling Club ladies? team continue their impressive start in division one of the league, having gained promotion last season.
The team played Civil Service Reds at home and although losing overall, gained two points for winning one rink.
However, against Sir Francis Drake, also at home, the team won overall after sharing the rinks, thereby gaining four points.
The club?s mixed team have not enjoyed such good fortune, having lost heavily away to Bere Alston and narrowly at home to Plymstock, going down 81 to 76 points.
The men?s bowling team also came unstuck away to Plymouth Electra in the evening league, surprisingly losing on all four rinks.
