THE fantastic escapades of Sinbad the Sailor's hapless nephew, Sinbad the Failure, will provide a wonderful start to the New Year in Belstone.
Rehearsals for the pantomime performed by the Belstone Players are now well under way. In this version of the Arabian Nights tale, hero Sinbad and his sidekicks Dame Polly Filla, Pee Gee, Ti Foo and Amethyst fall foul of the Grand Vizier when they set off in search of the legendary gold of old Dartmoor.
Also involved in the caper are swashbuckling pirates, squaddies Major Disaster, Private Enterprise and Private Property and the dreaded Beast of Dartmoor.
Add plenty of slapstick humour, songs and a camel called Camella and entertainment for the entire family is guaranteed.
The show opens at 7.30pm on Friday January 2 and continues on Saturday January 3 with a matinee at 2.30pm and evening show at 7.30pm.
Further performances are on January 9 at 7.30pm and January 10 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
