A TAVISTOCK mother was crowned the winner of a recent World Book Day competition run by a pop-up shoe shop.

Rachael Caveney was the proud winner of the competition run by Pogo, the pop-up children's shoe shop of Tavistock.

Pogo customers were asked to name three children's books with shoes in the title, and from the many entries, Rachael's name was drawn randomly.

Jo Dixon, owner of Pogo, was keen to promote World Book Day through the competition and used Twitter and Facebook as well as her pop-up shop to encourage entries.

Rachel won a classic fairy tale book to share with her daughter, Jessica.
