BUDE started strongly, pinning the visitors into their 22. Their dominant scrummage gave their Number 8 the first try.
Okehampton replied with a miss-move in the centre setting Richard Bolt free in midfield to race around the tacklers and level.
Bude worked downfield and strong support play turned disarray into a try in the corner. Okehampton?s forwards then moved up a gear with Hudson and Turner rucking well and Cox driving Bude backwards with his ferocious tackles. Bolt made the half break drawing the tacklers and set Jonny Hutchins free to score a try dragging the tacklers with him. Stewart Down converted to make the lead 10-12.
Bude replied with a try just before half-time, set up again from their scrummage.
In the second half Bude put up a bomb which bounced free for the home side to regather for a converted try. They added a penalty to lead 25-12.
Okehampton rallied and worked their way into Bude?s 22. Stealing a five-metre scrum Richard Bolt took his second try and the man of the match title.
