LEWDOWN started the first half well, closing down the opposition.

Lewdown were the better side in the first half and were rewarded with two goals, first from Rich Metters and the second from Andrew Vernon.

Lewdown had many good chances to score more, with Adrian Vernon guilty of missing a sitter just before the end of the first half.

Lewdown started the second half brightly and went 3-0 up.

The game should have been won, but Lewdown sat back and Bodmin scored a penalty.

Then from a corner Lewdown conceded a second. Bodmin then scored the equaliser.

Delabole 2

LEWDOWN beat Delabole in a hard fought game with a good all round performance, hitting the woodwork three times as well as scoring five goals.

Delabole started the brighter, taking the lead. Lewdown then scored three quick goals in a short time to go 3-1 up.

Rich Metters scored Lewdown?s first goal after some class one-touch football. Andrew got Lewdown?s second direct from a corner and Paul Perkins got the third with a lovely finish, after an excellent through ball from Mark Jordan.

Delabole equalised before half-time.

In the second half Lewdown shut Delabole out and Lewdown were having most of the possession.

Lewdown took the game out of reach for Delabole with two more goals from Rich Metters, which gave him his hat-trick.
