CALLINGTON-based endurance runner Bob Brown is in training to set a record for a run across Europe. Bob competed in the Oldbury Power Station 30-mile race at the beginning of February, and despite being only 70% fit finished in eighth place. He aims to be fully fit by July 31, when he will set off with the aim of covering 4,250 miles in under 80 days. His route will be from Lisbon to the Europe/Asia divide in the Ural Mountains in Russia. Local firm Ginsters will continue to sponsor him for this latest record attempt.
