WELL over 400 ducks made a dash for freedom at Mary?Tavy on Saturday.
The yellow plastic hopefuls were taking part in the village's duck race held at Homer Field.
Around 100 villagers enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon.
Chairman Bob Hines thanked everybody for making the event such a success and in particular Alison and Alan Cartwright for giving access to the brook and paddock.
The event was in aid of Coronation Hall funds.
The afternoon started with the judging of model boats.?The results were: 1, Thanae Garland; 2, Millie Hines; 3, Claudia Baldry.
There followed a series of children's boat races. The first race was won by Rubyn Hutchinson, the second by Trystin Mash and the third by Amber Colehill.
The afternoon climaxed with the annual duck race which saw 450 ducks set off, swelling the hall funds by approximately £450.
