Jewson South Western

Liskeard 1

Tavistock 1

THE Lambs' run continued with this well deserved draw at Lux Park. They were still without the injured Andy Parnowski but welcomed back James Cole.

It was a shaky start for the visitors as Dave Symons cleared from the line in the eighth minute. James Gill cut in to send the ball wide of Andy Meeds' post and the keeper did well to turn a Simon Purnell shot around the upright for a corner. From it the Blues had two shots cleared away as the ball pinged around the goal area.

John Gosling also cleared away another goalbound shot before the Lambs had their first good chance. Danny McTighe's cross found Marcus Crocker on the edge of the goal area but his header lacked power and Mark Henwood made a good save at the post.

Five minutes before half-time the Lambs found the net with a sweeping move. Crocker sent Cole away down the wing and his far post cross allowed Chris Gott to send the ball back into the area for Cole to lash it past a helpless Henwood.

The second half was just 12 minutes old when the Lambs gave away a soft goal. Liskeard won a corner, which the Lambs thought should have been a goal kick. Dawe quickly took the corner and Gill crossed for Purnell to head home past Meeds before they knew what hit them.

Further chances came for both sides as Gott headed wide from a Crocker cross and ex Lambs' striker Mark Skerton shot over the bar right on full-time when well placed.
